Bobby and I had a few classes together and I remember him being a really smart and quiet kind  of guy.  I remember attending a "campaingners meeting" (Young Life) at his house one time with a group of fellow pirates.  As I walked through the front door of his beautiful Old Irving Park home, I glanced back and saw an undeniable set of red mud footprints that no doubt came from my shoes.  I was so embarrassed and felt so bad because I had ruined a pristine foyer and proceeded to "bleed my red mud" all over the white carpet further into the house.  Bobby just looked at me, shrugged his shoulders and said "ahhh, don't worry about it".  That has stuck with me to this day.  He was obviously more concerned about how bad I felt at that moment and didn't want to make it worse.  That was just the kind of guy he was.  I never got to know Bobby that well, but I'm greatful that I had the chance to call him friend and fellow "Pirate".  God bless him!
